You will be able to have your mail moved over from NPMail to Hawkmail.  To do this:

1 – Login to my.newpaltz.edu

2 – Click on the “Student Services” tab

3 – In the “Student Information” section, click the “Computer Services” link

4 – Then click on “Migrate NPMail to Google Apps”

This will get your account added to the migration queue.  The migration process to Google takes time due to the connection limitations, so request to have mail moved will be processed in the order received.  Depending on how many people request their mail to be moved, it may take several days.
